What is fasting?

Deliberate abstinence from some form of physical gratification to achieve a greater spiritual goal.

Why do you fast?

Because Jesus did.
Fasting clears the mental and spiritual clutter.
Physical Cleansing.
Fasting increases our spiritual sensitivity.

Fasting Details

  • Pray at least 3 times/day (focus areas: faith, family, finances, fitness/health)
  • Follow along with the 21 Day Fast, Read, Pray reading plan (You can do that here)
  • Workout 2 times/week and/or get in 10,000 steps/day
  • Only water as a beverage

What we're asking you to abstain from

  • No food after 9pm
  • No fast food (primarily places that have a drive thru window and/or carryout)
  • Alcohol, tobacco and drugs
  • Explicit music, movies and television (anything above PG-13)
  • All pornographic materials
